How is this different from OpenID?
DandyID and OpenID are actually complimentary technologies. DandyID provides tools to help you manage and own your identity, while OpenID provides authentication tools. OpenID gives you a way to identify yourself around the web, but it doesn't communicate who you are. You are much more than a name and password -- your online identity is a collection of everything you do across the web, and DandyID helps you organize, share, and communicate that identity. In other words, OpenID helps you tell web sites, "This is the real me, let me in," while DandyID lets you say, "Now that you know this is really me, here are all the bits that make up who I am."

I'm having trouble authorizing Google+ to update my status. Why do I need to use my Gmail address?
For our service to work, we require the Gmail account that Google assigns to every Google+ profile, even if you normally log in with an email address from a different domain. You can find the associated Gmail address by logging into your Google+ account then clicking on your profile picture (where you find the log-out button).

My Google+ account is locked and I can't authorize it here. Why?
For security reasons, Google sometimes restricts third-party Apps (like DandyID) from accessing your account. Granting us access is easy, though. First, log into your Google account (either via Gmail, Google+, etc) then visit this link and click the button to allow access your account: https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha

Then, in DandyID, go through the regular process of authorizing your DandyID account and it should work.

Gmail/Google+ sent me an email saying someone tried to log into my account
Occasionally our service may cause Google to send you this warning email (saying that it originates from ClaimIO), particularly if your password has recently changed. Rest assured that nothing out of the ordinary is occuring with our service.

Where do I find my Google+ Page ID?

The Page ID is part of the URL for your profile. It is usually a long string of numbers and, occasionally, a username that you've set. When viewing your profile, it's also usually followed by '/posts'.

In the above examples, the Page ID would be either the "+BradDandyID" (note that it includes the plus symbol) or "123456789012345678901";

LinkedIn is slow to post updates
It can sometimes take LinkedIn several minutes to update your feed, much longer than most other social networks. Rest assured that this is normal behaviour.
